If you're interested in hiring me to produce a personal piece of art for you, please read through this page to understand my services, rates, do's and don'ts, and terms and conditions.
Before ordering, PLEASE carefully review the terms and conditions. They are in place to protect you and to protect me. These terms apply only to personal commissions, and are not applicable to professional or commercial requests. That being said, let's get cracking!
Just a quick note: I'm treating Sal and Colm as one character in the examples below. I never draw one without the other, so I crop them as if they're one character. Also, the prices provided below are general and subject to change based on the difficulty of rendering your commission.
A portrait/bust commission crops the character around the neck/shoulder area depending on the individual character.
A half-body commission typically shows the character from the hip/knee-area and up.
In a full-body commission, the entire character from head to toe is visible in the composition.
A commission finished in pencils will be mostly cleaned-up and fairly polished, but there still may be some traces of guides and searching lines in the final piece. I'll also shade in the character(s) to give them some volume and dimension.
An inked commission like this will have all the final line-work completed, but won't be colored. This is a fairly popular option for the folks who want custom coloring pages. For no extra charge, I can include the sketch layer behind the completed line-work to give the final piece some extra character.
A colored commission will include a totally colored character complete with shading and lighting effects to make the character appear as if it's ready to step off the screen!
With this option, your character(s) will be posed against a plain white background
A simple background consists of gradients, colors, and patterns appropriate to the character. They're mostly abstract design elements to help bring your character to life.
A detailed background will show an entirely rendered environment complete with color and lighting effects.
Want a whole cast of characters in your commissioned artwork? No problem. The cost of the additional characters will depend on the complexity of their designs.
Graphic elements include things like decorative borders, logos, typeface, and icons. If these kinds of elements are native to the background your character is inhabiting, that will be included with the background price. (For example: if your commissioned artwork is staged in a diner, the overhead menu is included at no extra cost)
Elements that aren't part of your character's wardrobe or part of the background may also be included in your commissioned artwork. For example, if you want me to include the Millenium Falcon in your drawing of Han Solo, I'd consider that a Miscellaneous element as it's neither a human/animal character, nor is it simply part of the background.
